The Patriots continue to work on rounding out their coaching staff for 2019 with the addition of Youngstown State offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo, according to the Youngstown (Ohio) Vindicator.

Bricillo, who has been on the Youngstown State staff for 10 seasons, is expected to work under Patriots offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia.

Youngstown State athletic director Ron Strollo would not confirm or deny that Bricillo was bound for New England.

Additionally, Atif Austin, who joined the Patriots as a coaching assistant last May, is leaving Foxborough to accept a job as the running backs coach at Northern Illinois, according to the Daily Chronicle of Dekalb County.

Schwenke signed

The Patriots signed offensive lineman Brian Schwenke to a one-year contract extension for the 2019 season. Via NFLPA records, the deal could reach $895,000 with incentives, with a base salary of $805,000, $30,000 for offseason workouts, and $60,000 in per-game roster bonus ($3,750 per game that he is on the active roster). The cap number is $686,250 due to the minimum salary benefit.

Schwenke was signed by the Patriots last September after five seasons with the Tennessee Titans. He appeared in three games before being placed on injured reserve on Nov. 6.
