Out of control politics

Mark Overholt
The American public voted in President Trump. Thankfully. By what right do liberals have to try to take him out of office, subverting the will of the people that elected him?
I have never seen such hatred and fanatical lying in an attempt to discredit or remove a duly-elected president from office. This must change.
I never thought there was ever in the past so much blatant lying in politics. However, I just finished a great book about General Ulysses Grant and his presidency. I learned, shockingly, that it has gone on in the past at almost a mirror image of today’s ranting raving, lying and a desperate attempt to subvert the will of we the voting public.
Our family has always discussed and paid attention to politics with dinner table discussions since I was pup. In my 75 years of life, I have seen the effects of both the big government democratic liberals and conservative-based government management.
Presidents Grant, Coolidge, Eisenhower, Regan, Bush 43 and now President Trump all put forth conservative policies that made our economies better for all. Lifting all boats. The economy soared. Liberal Democrats seem to be lots of talk and not much action. Clearly, we must stop spending more than we take in.
The liberal media and press should be crushed and ground into dust so a new two-party system can rise up with new ideas of how to make America better every day, meaning many open, honest discussions of ideas about how to make America a better place. Not what is best for “the party.”
I say today I’m seeing good things happen around the world. America is respected again. We have more jobs than people to fill them. The tax cuts are doing a great job of driving investment to create more.
And liberals call this “crumbs,” proving they should be relegated to the dustpan of history.
I’m optimistic about the future. I hope all others are too. History will prove again that conservative governments are best for all people
Thanks for listening.
