Massachusetts jobless rate

The Massachusetts unemployment rate for January will be released Thursday. The Commonwealth’s jobless rate remained unchanged at 4.7 percent in December.

GCP Applied Technologies Inc., Momenta Pharmaceuticals Inc., Freddie Mac, Endurance International Group Holdings Inc., and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. are expected to release earnings reports for the financial year that ended in December.

The rise of artificial intelligence

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology is having its annual tech conference this weekend. Dozens of speakers, including author Ray Kurzweil, will speak about artificial intelligence.
