‘Rethinking the parking space’
When planners focus on parking spaces per unit, they are missing a large part of the problem (“Rethinking the parking space,’’ Business, March 26). Parking spaces are not storage spaces; these cars will move around on city streets and increase traffic. Focusing only on parking is akin to designing a water system by only focusing on the reservoir and not the pipes.
