RE “THEY like a good yarn’’ (Page A1, Aug. 24): I am not a knitter. The fine art of appropriately pairing the act of knitting with binge-watching television escapes me. However, I must take umbrage with Christina Fagan’s characterization of “Gilmore Girls.’’ She says, “It’s just stupid banter, and nothing ever happens. So you just turn that on, and you don’t miss anything.’’ I’m sorry — what?
Reporter Dugan Arnett refers to “Gilmore Girls’’ as “dearly departed,’’ yet notes that Netflix is preparing to drop a highly anticipated reboot for the show’s legions of dedicated fans. As a huge devotee of Lorelai, Rory, and the whole Stars Hollow gang, I humbly suggest that Fagan put down her knitting needles and pay attention to the show.
