Jim Carter, a.k.a. Carson the butler on “Downton Abbey,’’ will be in Massachusetts and New Hampshire later this month to host benefits for victims of the 2015 earthquakes in Nepal. The actor will be at the Music Hall in Portsmouth, N.H. Feb. 18, the Somerville Theatre Feb. 19, and at the Regent Theatre in Arlington Feb. 21. The nights will feature a Q&A session, music, and stories inspired by “Downton,’’ and updates on Nepal from aid worker Linda Cruse. Ventriloquist and singer Lesley Smith will emcee. Carter was in Boston not long ago to promote the last season of “Downton.’’ He visited WGBH with costar Phyllis Logan in December.
