As they do every year for the Oscars, local film fans got gussied up and went to the Academy Awards viewing party hosted by the Ellie Fund, which was founded by brothers Jeff and Eliot Popkin in honor of their mother. (The nonprofit provides essential support services for breast cancer patients.) This year’s party, hosted by a few folks from Channel 5 and event honoree Sue Brady Hartigan, was at the Fairmont Copley Plaza.
