Closings: Concord’s Bondir (24 Walden St. at Hubbard Street) is up for sale, says chef-owner Jason Bond. The Cambridge-based restaurant brought a touch of city glamour to the western suburbs when it opened in 2013.

“It was a hard decision, but it came down to a financial thing. It’s not performing up to what we wanted,’’ Bond says. The restaurant was part of an influx of new restaurants in the area, including 80 Thoreau, Saltbox Kitchen, and Woods Hill Table. Bond says that the concept wasn’t a perfect fit for the area. “What we do in Cambridge wasn’t right for out here. I was doing a Cambridge restaurant outside of Cambridge,’’ he says. “On the plus side, amazing restaurants have opened here now.’’ There’s no definite closing date yet, and the Cambridge original will continue on. Bond says that he hopes to secure a full liquor license for that space.

Openings: East Arlington will get a new French restaurant next week, when Bistro Duet replaces Flora in the old Arlington Five Cents Savings Bank space (190 Massachusetts Ave. at Chandler Street). Co-owners Cyrille Couet and Wayne Duprey come from Boston’s InterContinental Hotel. Sup on French classics like coq au vin, steak frites, and bouillabaisse at dinner and weekend brunch.

Pop-ups: Chef Duy Tran brings his signature Taiwanese steamed buns to Umbria Prime (95 Franklin St. at Arch Street) for an ongoing pop-up starting this week, according to Instagram. Tran will set up shop for “catering and winter experiments’’ at lunch, dinner, and holiday parties, he writes. Tran ran his own Somerville restaurant, DooWee & Rice, several years ago, where he served rice plates, crispy chicken hearts, and bao, developing a cult following in the process.
