Seven Bridges, a Cambridge startup developing software to analyze genomes and medical data, said it has received $45 million in investor backing.

The Series A fund-raising was led by Kryssen Capital. Seven Bridges’ previous investors include Procyon Ventures, a Cambridge-based early stage investment firm.

Seven Bridges also said it is adding two high-profile names to its advisory board: former US senator Tom Daschle and Kai-Fu Lee, a former executive for Google and Microsoft.

Seven Bridges said its software can be run on private cloud-computing systems or publicly available alternatives, including Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud.

The company also has offices in London, San Francisco, and Belgrade, Serbia.
