In Winthrop’s Highlands neighborhood, the sonic signature of Logan International Airport is usually dull, not the infamous full-on shout some communities hear from New England’s noisiest neighbor. In fact, from the windows of this ninth-floor penthouse on Seal Harbor Point, the view is of the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge, the glass towers of downtown Boston, and even the colors of the National Grid gas tank in Dorchester, but Logan itself is, oddly enough, mostly hidden from view by trees and homes.

The view, which includes Graves Light Station from the left side of the unit, is not the only draw here. The living room, which shares an open layout with the formal dining area, fits a sectional easily and has the same oak flooring laid in an eye-catching diagonal pattern throughout the first floor of this two-level unit. The formal dining area is positioned in front of a large window and a slider that leads to a C-shaped deck that can accommodate two chairs and a small table.

If you’d rather lounge over breakfast closer to the coffeepot, the kitchen’s eat-in space is so large that it comfortably holds a love seat and a table for four. It overlooks a section of the deck and the ocean beyond. The kitchen workspace is U-shaped, with the electric stove at the center, and topped with a salmon-toned granite counter. The sink is to the left of the stove, and the cabinets are oak. A half bath around the corner completes the first level.

Upstairs, a closet has been converted into an office with distractingly great views. To the right of the office, a bedroom juts out from the building and has windows on three walls and a large double-door closet. Next door, the full bath holds a shower and shares its space with laundry facilities and the hot water heater.

At the opposite end of the floor, the master suite is a larger space with two windows looking toward Point Shirley and Boston. The master has two double-door closets, and the en-suite bath holds a tub, a single vanity with a Formica top, a dressing area, and a separate shower.

The unit, which has recessed lighting and a sprinkler system, comes with two deeded parking spaces in a heated, covered garage.

The nicely landscaped grounds have plenty of space for oceanfront viewing. The 128-unit facility offers an in-ground pool outdoors, a workout area with a sauna in the basement, a rooftop club room, and 24-hour concierge service.

The listing agent, Susan Charbonnier of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate in Charlestown, will hold an open house on Sunday, May 15, from 12 to 2 p.m.
