A conversation between author Malcolm Gladwell and Deepak Chopra, interactive art exhibitions, and marine boat cruises are among 150 events planned for HUBweek, organizers announced on Wednesday.

Participants can now register online for individual events held during the festival, which will run from Oct. 10 to 15.

HUBweek, now in its third year, encourages participants to explore the intersections of art, science, and technology. It will be centered this year around a new exhibition space on City Hall Plaza, featuring 60 shipping containers, dozens of art installations, and four geodesic domes.

Brendan Ryan, the executive director of HUBweek, said he expects this year’s festival will provide event-goers with “some real signature moments,’’ and described the week as a civic initiative.

“We’re hopeful people will take advantage of the week to connect with other smart, curious people from across industries,’’ Ryan said.

HUBweek expanded its event offering this year by 15 percent. Here are some of the highlights:

■ Robot block party: MassRobotics and the Mayor’s Office of New Urban Mechanics team up to showcase and demo the newest in robotics. Registration is free.

■ Immersive art: The HUB will host nighttime “live arts experiences’’ including film screenings, live music, video projections, and other installations.

■ Future Forum: Movers and shakers from a variety of fields, from artificial intelligence to biotech, explore the impact of high-tech ideas coming out of Boston.

Speakers include Harvard biogeneticist George Church, Chopra, and Gladwell. Three-day and one-day passes are available for sale.

■ Drink and think: A distillery tour with the founders of Bully Boy Distillers, the Roxbury-based company that produces up to 50,000 cases annually of whiskey, gin, rum, and vodka. Registration is free.

■ MIT Inclusive Innovation Competition: The culmination of a yearlong project, finalists in the MIT-led contest will present technology-driven solutions to current challenges.

They’ll be accompanied by talks from leaders including Sheila Marcelo, the founder of Care.com. The winner will be awarded a $1 million grand prize.

■ HUBweek Deep Dives: Participants can choose from four topics — climate change, artificial intelligence in medicine, the opioid crisis, and precision medicine — and spend time engaging in discussion with leaders in those fields.

HUBweek was founded by The Boston Globe, Harvard University, Massachusetts General Hospital, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Globe managing director Linda Pizzuti Henry is chairwoman of the HUBweek board.
