Man killed in Trump Tower fire
NEW YORK — A man was killed in a raging apartment fire Saturday in the New York City skyscraper named for President Trump and where his business is based, officials said. A 67-year-old man who was in the apartment was taken to a hospital and died a short time later, the New York Police Department said. His name was not released. Officials said four firefighters suffered minor injuries. Commissioner Daniel Nigro said no member of the Trump family was in the building Saturday. (AP)

Farenthold resigns amid ethics inquiry
Representative Blake Farenthold, Republican of Texas, has abruptly resigned, four months after announcing he wouldn’t seek reelection after sexual harassment allegations. Lauren Greene, a former aide, said he had subjected her to sexually suggestive comments and behavior, and that he fired her after she complained. Farenthold denied the allegations but promised to reimburse taxpayer money he used to settle the case in 2015. (AP)

Two soldiers killed in helicopter crash
FORT CAMPBELL — Two soldiers were killed in a helicopter crash during training at Fort Campbell, officials said. The AH-64E Apache helicopter crashed Friday night. The soldiers were members of the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division. Their names have not been released pending notification of relatives. The cause of the crash is under investigation. (AP)
