Time to wake disarmament movement from its slumber

The other day, a few diehard peaceniks stood out in Arlington to commemorate the US atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and to continue our objections to current US wars.

Just days later, our tweeter in chief openly threatened nuclear war.

This is extremely dangerous. Various articles in The Boston Globe have been a feeble attempt to downplay the insanity of this moment.

Nuclear threats are expressions of madness. Nuclear war destroys our planet.

Calls for nuclear disarmament must be renewed, at all levels of society, across the planet.

We’ve done it before and brought down the nuclear- annihilation threat level, and we have to do it again.
