Police say Vikings receiver Michael Floyd was flagged for failing alcohol tests that are part of his monitoring for house arrest in Minnesota. Police records obtained by the Star Tribune show that the ex-Patriot failed his alcohol monitoring three times and missed another test. Floyd told the St. Paul Pioneer Press that the reports are "totally false." He allegedly blamed the results on consuming kombucha tea, which is fermented. ESPN.com reported that Floyd, who pleaded guilty Feb. 12 in Scottsdale to extreme drunken driving stemming from a Dec. 12 incident, is scheduled for a show-cause hearing in Scottsdale, Ariz., on June 26.
Saints’ Armstead needs surgery for torn labrum, out 4-6 months
Saints starting left tackle Terron Armstead needs surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder and is expected to miss 4-6 months, according to a person familiar with the situation. He signed a five-year, $65 million extension before the 2016 season . . . Jaguars corner Jalen Ramsey said he is recovering from surgery Thursday to “treat a core muscle injury.’’

Report: Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid after tax allegations
Citing an unnamed source close to Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese sports daily A Bola published a story two days before Portugal’s Confederations Cup debut in Russia saying the star wants to leave Real Madrid and Spain following allegations Tuesday that he defrauded the country’s tax authorities . . . Vancouver Whitecaps defender Sheanon Williams was suspended indefinitely by Major League Soccer, a day after he was arrested and charged with assault in a domestic case. The 27-year-old Boston native has two assists in 11 games this season.
