Deputies tell driver to vacuum his vehicle
Medina County Sheriff
Jan. 30 - A traffic stop was conducted for a suspended license on Medina Road west of Beach Road in Granger Township. A canine allegedly alerted to the presence of drugs, but only some marijuana shake was found in the vehicle. The driver was advised to vacuum his vehicle.

Feb. 4 – Police responded to a North Court Street address at 12:49 p.m. and arrested Cassandra N. Taylor, 26, of Shelby, for misdemeanor possession of drugs and drug abuse instruments.
Feb. 4 – While investigating a suspicious person and vehicle on Medina Street at 6:39 a.m., police arrested Kevin G. Oney, 33, of Shiloh, for receiving stolen property, a felony.
Feb. 3 – Police responded to a North Court Street business after an employee was fired and, in the process, made threats about the manager “going down.” The manager wished the fired employee be trespassed from the property.
Feb. 2 – Police arrested Johnny A. Williams, 41, of Bronson Street, for OVI and failing to stop after a previous accident. He was arrested during a traffic stop on North Court Street at 11:11 p.m.
Feb. 2 – Police received a report of an 83-year-old man who took a vehicle without permission and drove off. The man reportedly has a history of dementia and getting into accidents.
Feb. 1 – Police stopped a vehicle for running a stop sign on South Huntington Street at 8:08 p.m. and arrested Clarence Powell, 49, of Brookland Drive, for criminal trespass.
Feb. 1 – Police responded to a Harding Street business at 6:49 p.m. and arrested Tiffany A. Belohlavek, 51, of Lafayette Road, for theft.
Feb. 1 – Police responded to an East Washington Street address at 11:51 a.m. and arrested Denise A. Sigmon, 47, of Branch Road, on a warrant.
Jan. 31 – Police stopped a Ford Focus traveling on Branch Road at 8:29 p.m. and arrested the driver, Steven P. Hatfield, 28, of Seville, on a felony warrant. He was also cited for possession of marijuana.

Jan. 29 – Police responded to a South Weymouth Road address at 8:09 a.m. and took a report of a neighbor allegedly damaging a fence and violating a protection order.
Jan. 22 – A resident of West Virginia came to the station to report a theft of several items totaling nearly $2,000 while visiting in town. The suspect is an acquaintance of the victim.
Jan. 5 – A Hamilton Road woman told police she wanted her daughter-in-law to stop contacting her. The daughter-in-law was advised of telecommunications harassment. No charges were filed.

Feb. 1 — A 22-year-old Elyria man was cited for driving under suspension during a traffic stop on Ridge and Ridgewood roads at 3:22 a.m.
Jan. 25 — A total of $450 cash and some change was taken from a Medina Road business in Granger Township. A Barberton man is suspected. Christopher Sullivan, of Barberton, was charged with a felony count of forgery.
Jan. 24 — A Jamison Road woman in Harrisville Township reported her boyfriend took her car without her permission. A warrant was issued for Christopher Ruiz, 31, of Medina, on counts of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and domestic violence.
Jan. 23 — A deputy conducted a traffic stop on New London Eastern Road for a vehicle with expired plates at 5:33 p.m. It was found the driver, Michael Aikman, 53, of Spencer, had a suspended license and an outstanding warrant. Several loaded firearms were reportedly found while deputies search the vehicle.
Jan. 23 — A possible assault was reported at a Lake Road business in Westfield Township at 5:52 p.m. After speaking with both involved parties, two citations were issued. Shannon Ross, 45, of Baltimore, was cited for assault and Dawayne Belaire, 28, of Texas, was cited for disorderly conduct.
Jan. 22 — A vehicle was driving northbound on Columbia Road in Liverpool Township when it passed Neff Road. The vehicle then tried to turn around in a driveway but cut the wheel too quickly when going forward and drove into a ditch, causing minor damage. The river, Elton Worthington, 57, of Doylestown, was arrested for OVI and cited for open container.
Jan. 17 — A Repp Road resident in Harrisville Township said someone gained entry into her Verizon account and ordered three Iphone X phones for pickup in Pennsylvania.
Jan. 17 — Someone dumped TVs on a Beach Road property in Sharon Township. A 23-year-old Seville man is suspected.
Jan. 15 — Tobacco and bottles of liquor were taken by three suspects at a Wooster Pike Road business in Guilford Township.
Jan. 13 — A unknown intoxicated male with blood on his face came onto a porch at a Marks Road residence in Liverpool Township at 8:39 p.m. The man, Richard Prue, 57, of Strongsville, said he was drinking at his brother-in-law’s house, who happened to live next door. He was taken to a hospital and cited for disorderly conduct.
