The Weymouth Club swimmer has been chosen to compete in December’s Junior National Swim Meet in Knoxville. The rising sophomore at Cohasset High recently won the 400-, 800-, and 1500-meter at the New England Senior Championship.

The Springfield College gymnast was named a Scholar-Athlete by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women for her GPA above 3.5. Murphy posted a 9.55 on the balance beam and competed at the NACG Nationals as a first-year student.

QUINCY

The 16-year-old runner won the Old Home Week 5k in Centerville last week, crossing the sandy finish line with a time of 17:03. Mariano runs for Xaverian Brothers during the school year and is a member of the Emerging Elites.
