RE “Pence visits Calif. for fund-raisers, leaves NFL game’’ (The Nation, Oct. 9): Imagine if instead of leaving the NFL game when the players kneeled in protest, Vice President Pence went down to meet with the players and asked what their concerns were and how he could help. We would think very differently about Mike Pence.
