The X-Files Sunday at 10 p.m., Fox
Watching the premiere of this new string of six episodes, I felt both excited at seeing David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reunited, and instantly weary from all the renewed conspiracy theory cant. “The X-Files’’ fits in with all of the recent primetime nostalgia, with new episodes of “Arrested Development’’ and “24’’ along with the forthcoming returns of “Gilmore Girls’’ and “Twin Peaks.’’ Executives know they can make more money from a particular brand name, and viewers often crave leftovers. But I’d rather watch old episodes than watch any once-beloved series do a cover version of its former self.
It’s Not You, It’s Men 9 p.m., OWN
Great title, but I’m not banking on the show. Tyrese Gibson and Reverend Run offer insights into men, love, and relationships. In the premiere, guest stars include Jordin Sparks and Marlon Wayans.
The Birds Sunday at 9 p.m., BBC America
Avian awesomeness.
Shameless Sunday at 9 p.m., Showtime
Frank is full of beans.
Unusual Suspects Sunday at 9 p.m., ID
