QUINCY’S NEW GREEN “The City of Presidents’’ is showcasing its new Hancock-Adams Green at its first Presidents’ Day Winter Festival. Attractions include the teen pop group 3D, the Massachusetts National Guard Quintet, a 35-foot snow slide, stilt walking, a marionette show, a green-screen photo booth, and tours of Old City Hall and Church of the Presidents with costumed reenactors.

ADAMS PARK Adams National Historical Park is also celebrating Presidents’ Day as Braintree teacher Kelly Halin leads an afternoon of activities focused on grades 3-6 to mark the day, including candle rolling and poster making.

PILGRIM REENACTMENT The New Plimmoth Gard reenacts Establishment Day, when the men of Plymouth met on a hilltop to establish military orders during their first winter. The Gard will read their military rules of order and demonstrate 17th-century musket and pike drills on the steps of Pilgrim Hall.
