Illes, Sandor are MCCC’s December Students of the Month
Buckeye seniors Rebecca Illes and Keaton Sandor have been selected as the Medina County Kiwanis December Students of the Month for the Medina County Career Center by a panel of their peers.
Illes is ranked 21 out of her class of 191. She is the secretary of her sports medicine and exercise science class. She is also a member of the MCCC Key Club. She was a member of the freshman basketball team and a member of both the JV and Varsity softball teams. Academically, she was awarded an Academic Letter as a freshman, and was inducted last year into the National Technical Honor Society. Illes is taking College Credit Plus classes this year in english composition, political science and medical terminology. She has volunteered in her church and community.
She is the daughter of Mark and Amanda Illes. She plans to obtain a degree in exercise science and continue on to graduate school to become a physical therapist.
Sandor is ranked 50 out of his class of 191. He was president of student council as a sophomore and vice president his junior and senior years. He is currently the treasurer of the MCCC Key Club. He is in the precision machining program.
He was a member of the varsity football team for four years and the track team for three years, lettering in both. He is also in ski club. He was inducted into both the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society. He has volunteered in his church and community.
He is the son of Jim and Alisa Sandor. He plans to obtain a degree in mechanical engineering.
