You know how O.J. Simpson became famous all over again last year, after FX’s “The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story’’ and the documentary “O.J.: Made in America’’? Well Princess Diana is about to have her reboot moment, as a number of Diana-related TV projects are in the works.

First, in May, ABC will air “The Last 100 Days of Diana,’’ a two-hour documentary special hosted by Martin Bashir. The focus will be her final summer, when she was divorced from Prince Charles and romantically involved with Hasnat Khan and Dodi al-Fayed. She died in a car crash, with al-Fayed, at the age of 36. According to ABC, interviewees will include her butler, her chef, her press secretary, and her trainer. (No word yet on the candlestick maker.)

Then, in August, which will mark the 20th anniversary of her death, ABC will feature a longer documentary. The four-hour, two-night special will take a broader look at the princess’s life, and it will include a segment on her legacy in the years since she died. ABC is partnering with People magazine for the project; People has featured Princess Diana on its cover 57 times, more than any other famous figure. We can also expect a plethora of other Diana network and cable specials in August, for the anniversary.

Finally, the next season of FX’s “Feud,’’ which is currently looking at the rivalry between Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, will take on the complicated relationship between Charles and Diana. Naturally the casting of the limited series will be critical; it always is when a TV project strives to portray real people. So far, Ryan Murphy has done a fairly good job — I’m thinking of Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clarke and Jessica Lange as Joan Crawford. The 10-episode “Feud: Charles and Diana’’ will premiere in 2018.
