What a breath of fresh air Alan Dershowitz’s op-ed was. The media narrative over the past several years has been that the Republican Party continues to drift further and further to the right. Seldom do we hear about how the Democrats are getting pulled just as far to an extreme left of political purity.

It’s sad to see Hillary Clinton contort herself into a pretzel by the demands of an uncompromising radical-left element in the same way that Mitt Romney’s earlier centrism was stifled in his efforts to appease the extreme right during his 2012 presidential bid.

May Dershowitz’s piece herald the beginning of a re-embrace of sensible centrism and compromise in American politics.
