Emerson College honored novelist Alice Sebold, reporter Juan Gonzalez, and Boston poet laureate Danielle Legros Georges Sunday, conferring honorary degrees to them at the school’s 136th commencement. Sebold (inset), author of “The Lovely Bones,’’ gave the undergraduate address at Agganis Arena, sharing her experiences — good and bad — from Syracuse University and urging graduates to continue their education beyond the classroom. She said, “Your brain is the flame that will carry you forward. I beg of you, keep feeding it.’’ Emerson alumna Legros Georges gave the graduate address.
