It might be just as well that the Red Sox traded pitcher Michael Kopech.
Sure, the kid throws hard — like, 107-m.p.h. hard — but if he and Yoan Moncada weren’t dealt to the White Sox for starter Chris Sale, we’d have to deal with Kopech’s off-the-field antics with girlfriend Brielle Biermann (above with Kopech).
Not familiar with Biermann? She’s the daughter of Kim Zolciak of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta’’ and its inane spinoff “Don’t Be Tardy.’’ Biermann began dating Kopech last year when he was still in the Red Sox farm system, and the couple are now inseparable and constantly post pictures of each other on Instagram.
“If he proposed to me tomorrow, I’d say yes,’’ Biermann told “Entertainment Tonight.’’ “We can get engaged soon. [The wedding] can come later, but I’ll get engaged soon with the huge ring — that’s all I want.’’
Actually, that’s not true. She and Kopech also want attention. And a lot of it. Why else would they do a photo shoot at a Florida amusement park during spring training? The PDA-heavy pictures, all 99 of them, were posted Friday by TMZ and show Biermann and Kopech kissing and cuddling and feeding each other ice cream.
Even former Red Sox centerfielder Johnny Damon, who rarely passed up an opportunity to pose with wife Michelle, never did something like this.
