Corey Perry and Nick Ritchie scored, Frederik Andersen stopped all 24 shots he faced, and the Anaheim Ducks clinched the Pacific Division by beating the Capitals, 2-0, Sunday in Washington.
The Ducks will face the Predators in the first round of the playoffs, leaving the second-place Kings to play the Sharks. This is Anaheim’s fourth consecutive division title.
The Capitals rested star forwards Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom, and defensemen John Carlson and Brooks Orpik.
Flyers 4, Islanders 2 — Michael Raffl scored the tiebreaking goal early in the second period and added two assists to lead visiting Philadelphia.
Nikolay Kulemin and Matt Martin scored for the Islanders, who finished with the East’s top wild card and will face the Panthers in Round 1.
The Islanders’ loss gave the Rangers third place in the Metropolitan and a matchup with the Penguins.
