We need a nationwide school strike. I envision everybody — teachers, administrators, and students — not going to school, but instead lobbying their lawmakers to end gun violence. This would be a sustainable and powerful way to begin to break the deadly grip the gun industry has on our country. And we’ll demonstrate to ourselves and our children the power of determined, collective action.

We need to bring this idea to every parent-teacher organization and every union meeting across the country.
