Auditor releases weekly finance report
MEDINA – Mike Kovack, Medina County auditor, released the following information regarding county finances for the week of Nov. 18-22.
Overall revenues for the county this week were $5,423,937.93. The largest income source was from sales tax in the amount of $1,177,204.07 and school sales tax in the amount of 1,177,090.70. The Auditor’s Accounting Department issued 657 checks for total expenditures of $1,875,498.06; approved expenditures totaled $1,505,805.40. There were two vendor’s licenses issued.
At this time in 2018, overall revenues for the county $3,870,919.52. The largest income sources were from Sales Tax in the amount of $1,123,983.66 and School Sales Tax in the amount of $1,123,850.53. The Auditor’s Accounting Department issued 543 checks for total expenditures of $1,586,354.51; approved expenditures totaled $1,022,466.32. There were no vendor’s license issued.

There were 64 residential home sales this week. The average sale price for a home in Medina County this week was $$239,143. The total fees collected for transfers were $47,547.40. There were no commercial sale this week.
At this time in 2018, 64 residential home sales this week. The average sale price for a home in Medina County this week was $221,334. The total fees collected for transfers were $45,563.20. There were four commercial sales this week with the average sale price being $245,000. The total fees collected for those transfers was $2,942.50.
