Sunday’s Child is a weekly column featuring a child currently in foster care awaiting adoption.
Kelvin is a sensitive, smart, and outspoken 11-year-old boy of caucasian and Hispanic descent. He likes to spend time outside playing basketball, skate boarding, riding his bike, and exploring his neighborhood. While inside, he enjoys watching television and movies, and playing video games and with Legos. Kelvin loves to please others and help out.
Kelvin is currently attending a therapeutic school with a small class size. He has an individualized educational plan to assist him in the classroom. He enjoys school and has a close relationship with his therapist. Kelvin would like to be a pilot or a basketball player when he grows up.
Kelvin would do well in a two-parent home with older children. He will need a family that can provide him with emotional support and love as well as strong supervision.
