Donald Trump’s response to the Khan family, whose son was killed serving in Iraq, was callous and cruel. His speaking of his sacrifices of hard work and creating jobs, in response to Khizr Khan’s challenge that he had “sacrificed nothing,’’ was shocking. How do we entrust Trump with the lives of all of our military sons and daughters to give wise and careful thought to place them in harm’s way? If he does not understand what he is saying, shame on him. If we vote for him, shame on us.
