CHICAGO While the veteran classic rockers of Chicago usually team up for summer shed tours with friends like Earth, Wind & Fire and the Doobie Brothers, here’s an opportunity to hear their passel of hits — from “Saturday in the Park’’ to “Will You Still Love Me’’ — in a more intimate setting, as the band prepares for its induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Feb. 5. 8 p.m. $57-$97. Lynn Auditorium. 800-745-3000. www.ticketmaster.com

CABINET Celebrating 10 years of its bluegrass-and-then-some sound, this Pennsylvania sextet — fleet-picking and harmony-rich — hits town in support of its latest aptly named release, “Celebration.’’ Cabinet wisely enlisted terrific local Americana outfit Tigerman WOAH to warm up the crowd. Feb. 6. 8 p.m. $12. The Sinclair. 800-745-3000. www.ticket master.com

ANA GASTEYER She gave us characters like high school music teacher Bobbi Mohan-Culp and NPR host Margaret Jo McCullen on “Saturday Night Live,’’ shone on “Suburgatory,’’ and starred in “Wicked’’ and “The Threepenny Opera’’ on Broadway. Now, the gifted comic actress and singer (pictured) — who also appears in “Grease: Live’’ on Fox on Sunday — is taking her own show on the road, singing songs both classic and contemporary and telling a few tales along the way. Feb. 6. 8 p.m. $30-$60. Sanders Theatre. 617-482-6661. www.celebrity series.orgSARAH RODMAN
