The Brookline Public Library will be hosting an evening of hot cocoa under the stars to celebrate its latest collection: telescopes. On Dec. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in Hunneman Hall, John Root of Aldrich Astronomical will teach participants all about telescopes and how to use them. His presentation will be accompanied by a hot chocolate bar and other refreshments. After the presentation, telescopes will be set up outside for the public to use. All ages are encouraged to attend.

All Hands In, a nonprofit organization that supports women who are survivors of human trafficking, will hold a Holiday Expo on Saturday, Dec. 9. The gifts available for purchase are made by the survivors, and include bath and body products, artisan soaps, chocolate pretzels and other treats. The Expo will run from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Connections Building at 153 Concord Rd. in Bedford. Entrance is free and there is plenty of parking.

The Westborough Women’s Club will host its annual Holiday House Tour on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 1 to 4 p.m. Guests on this year’s tour will visit five homes, with tours starting at the Congregational Church on West Main Street. Tickets cost $25 per person. There will be holiday refreshments in the church at 12:30 p.m., which will be included in the purchase of their tickets. The club requests that no one bring children or wear high heels. People can purchase tickets by calling Kathy Wilfert at 508-654-3762 or purchasing them at the town clerk’s office. All proceeds will go to support Westborough student scholarships.
