Cape museum marks 35th anniversary with exhibition and book celebrating area’s artistic tradition

In more than three decades, the Cape Cod Museum of Art has amassed a 2,000-piece collection representing work by some 500 artists. To celebrate its 35th year, the museum is devoting all 6,000 square feet of its galleries to selections from the permanent collection, for two months starting Sept. 6. There’s also its newly released 304-page book, co-written by the museum’s director, featuring 122 artists, including renowned modernist Hans Hoffman and longtime resident Salvatore Del Deo. “Art From Cape Cod: Selections From the Cape Cod Museum of Art’’ by Edith A.
