State House security camera is one thing not to protest
Re “New State House security camera raises concerns’’ (Metro, Aug. 9): How quickly people forget.
Remember how they spotted the Tsarnaev brothers following the Boston Marathon bombings? Security cameras.
So, to those who are concerned about the possibility of the new camera at the State House invading protesters’ privacy: Get over it. Cameras such as these help identify perpetrators. Anyone parading out in public — for whatever reason — forfeits some of his or her privacy rights. And that, my friends, is a good thing for all of us.
