The Boston Ballet transformed the Castle at Park Plaza into a mini-Paris for its annual ball Saturday. Le Bal Epoque included more than 500 guests in formal wear who bid on auction items, dined on dishes by Max Ultimate Foods, and enjoyed performances by company members, including one that featured costumes by French designer Christian Lacroix. WCVB’s J.C. Monahan, who emceed, showed the crowd the Boston Ballet ID card she used as a child. The evening’s chair, Pamela Petri-Humphrey, had help from her daughter, Joanna Humphrey Flynn, who vice-chaired with Boston Common editor Lisa Pierpont. VIPs included Boston Ballet executive director Max Hodges, who wore a gown designed by Sam Mendoza, co-chair of the ballet’s Young Partners Council.
