■ GUN ARRESTS Two men were arrested on gun-related charges in separate incidents early Sunday morning, Boston police said. Tarell Wheeler, 24, of Roxbury was arrested after he pulled out a silver revolver while running from officers around 1:30 a.m., Boston police said in a press release. About 30 minutes later, police arrested Eugene Adams, 33, of Dorchester, for illegal possession of a black RAP .440 firearm. Both were charged separately with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawfully carrying a loaded firearm, and resisting arrest. Wheeler was also charged with
receiving stolen property and possession of
Class B drugs.
■ CAR CRASH Three men, including one with a loaded gun, were arrested Saturday afternoon after they crashed into another vehicle while fleeing police in Dorchester, according to the Boston Police Department. Maurice Anthony Nunez, 21, of Roxbury, Daniel Mejia, 18, of Chelsea, and Elmer G. Funes, 18, of Roxbury were apprehended after they sped from an officer who attempted to stop their vehicle on Hancock Street because it did not have an inspection sticker, police wrote in a press release. The officer did not chase the vehicle due to inclement weather, police said. A short distance down the road, the officer reported “a cloud of dust and debris’’ and that the vehicle had crashed. All three men fled from the crash on foot, according to police, and were apprehended.
■ CARJACKING HUNT Police are searching for a 32-year-old Tewksbury man who they believe stole a woman’s car Saturday night while she was pumping gas. A warrant has been issued for the suspect, William Tighe, for carjacking, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, the motor vehicle, Tewksbury police said. Tighe allegedly got into the woman’s car at about 7:20 p.m. at the Circle K convenience store on Andover Street in Tewksbury. The woman struggled with him, but Tighe allegedly drove away, “dragging her several feet,’’ police said.
