Carson Smith, who has a strained flexor muscle in his right arm, may begin some arm motion in the next couple of days.

AROUND THE BASES: Bradley said it was the first time he could remember ever swinging at a 3-0 pitch when he homered in the second inning . . . Devers said he would be starting at High-A Salem but hoped to move up quickly . . . There were 8,518 in attendance at Ed Smith Stadium in a game played in 3 hours 16 minutes. It was 80 degrees at game time.
